What is this?

The Faculty Support Center (McEwen 215) is the primary support shop for Faculty Computing Services. This is where we take your phone calls and answer your email or respond to your AIM chat. This is where faculty can consult with us or use higher-end hardware or software.

Why would I use this?

If you want to do multimedia creation and you want some help or you just want to use some beefier computers, this is the place. We have specialized equipment, such as 35mm slide scanners or a hookup to allow us to digitize audio from 33 RPM albums. The room is staffed with professional instructional technologists as well as knowledgeable and friendly student staff. Plus, if you visit us, you can get out of your office for a few minutes. Sometimes there is food.

Here are a list of resources available to you in our Support Center:

  • Technology Production Center - we can help you digitize almost all analog materials and media.
  • Opscan Scanning - You can self score your brown and blue bubble test sheets and receive an item analysis report of each test.
  • Hardware - We have high end IBM's and Mac Pro's attached to high quality color printer and a double-sided black and white printer. Also available are scanners that you use to scan your own materials.
  • Loan Outs - You can borrow one of our many camera's, video cameras, or audio recorders for special projects.
